We have now passed 3000 miles riding for 2025 so we decided to take the day off. The proverbial day of rest.
Since many folks have recommended the Sunday market in Saint Cyprien we decided to give it a try. Due to the wet weather some of the stall spaces were vacant but there was more than enough to satisfy our marketing desires. We look but rarely buy anything but food and vegetables - tomatoes are the best.
The stalls lined the main street along with a smaller parking area at the end of town.
Spices make for a colorful display.
Having worked up an appetite we stopped at the local cafe in Castelnaud for a salad and calzone. Enough for lunch and a piece left over for dinner.
Meringue and chocolate mousse are a great way to end the day. Everything is better with chocolate and meringue.
