Today's route took us along familiar roads and many never explored. With the help of Shaun he suggested some up and overs we did not know existed. The map is a spider's web of intersecting ways from places we had only seen in print. It all started on a personal favorite up to Domme before the adventure began. Many of these hamlets are connected by cow paths that have been paved over to accommodate modern vehicle traffic. Hard to believe that people settled over here and over there, but the human spirit prevails.
We started up the back way to Domme. The chilly, foggy morning was ideal for this climb.
